Pattern Hack: Spiderman Doll

If you follow me on Facebook you saw that I gave my daughter a Spiderman doll for Valentine's Day. I was inspired to make the doll for her after I saw Ruby Ellen from My Cakies made one for her daughter for Christmas. I asked her what pattern she used and she told me she didn't use a pattern, she just winged it. I knew I wouldn't be able to wing it, I'm not as talented as she is, so I found a free pattern that I was able to "hack". Since Spiderman is a popular character I decided to make this doll pattern my first sew along.

Today I am going to tell you what you need to gather in order to start the sew along tomorrow. We will be using the free Molly Monkey pattern from mmmcrafts. You will also need 1/4 yard of red fabric, 1/4 yard blue fabric, black/blue thread, a scrap of black felt, a scrap of white felt, and polyfil.

I was a little intimidated by doll making at first but after I made this doll I realized it was quite simple. Make sure you print your pattern today and join me tomorrow for the first half of the sew along.
