A Learning Calendar

My daughter just turned three so I thought it would be a great time to introduce learning time. I don't plan on sending her to preschool this year but I do want her to be prepared for Kindergarten. In order to help her learn the date and the day of the week I came up with a calendar that we use daily. I also added a letter and number of the day to our calendar to help us stay on track.

I made the calendar from felt and I sewed pockets for the date, day of the week, and letter/number of the day from pocket sheets. I hand embroidered the wording in different colors. I then hand embroidered a border around the edge with the top folded over a hanger. I used index cards for the words.

I am entering my calendar in the Prudent Baby Borderline Brilliant Contest. You have 7 more days to enter if you're interested.
