Princess Party

So as I mentioned last week was my daughter's 3rd birthday and I went with a princess theme since she is obsessed with them. We had two parties, one was a play date and one was a family party, so I was really busy the week before trying to get everything ready. I promised my husband I would keep everything pretty minimal since he didn't want me stressing out and I think in the end that was the best thing.

My little sister made that big birthday card from poster board, genius!, and all of our friends and family signed it. To the right you will see the hand made invitations I made for the party. I also attached a tulle pom pom to the pen just because I had one left over.

I lucked out because Party City had a bunch of Princess items on clearance, these bags cost me .99 for 4. Of course I am dumb and forgot to take pictures of what I put inside of them, UGH! I made a princess crown out of felt, which I will do a tutorial on, and I made princess plastic rings and bought cute heart glitter bracelets. The boys got a Batman mask made out of felt and glow in the dark insects.

I made a princess banner using my cricket and added tulle pom poms to the ends.

Here is a close up of the banner, I used the charm setting for these.

For the main table I made tulle pom pom garlands and I hung them from the ceiling, tutorial also coming.

I made the cake using marshmallow fondant. I made two eyelet ruffles and I cut out flower shapes for the top of the cake so the Princesses were showcased. The cake was a BIG HIT with the kids. The inside was white cake but I added pink food coloring so it was a bright pink and everyone loved it.

I made cupcakes too since I thought it would be easier for the kids to eat. I made the toppers using a scalloped punch and I added a princess sticker in the middle of each one. I also used these toppers to decorate the food. The party was super fun and I am so glad I got to see some of my friends and family members that I don't see very often.
