60's Mod Dress

I am doing some catchup posts on all the outfits I have been sewing for my daughter the last month. I fell IN LOVE with this vintage pattern when I saw it at my mom's house. It's a pattern from 1966 and I love how simple the dress is yet adorable.

I decided to do variation A and I used up some vintage fabrics I had in my stash from the 90's. It was my first time sewing long sleeves and it was a little bit of a challenge but I learned some new things and they came out well.

I used a blue plaid seersucker and some white eyelet cotton. You can't tell from the picture but the sleeve cuff and yoke have a cute embroidered dot design. I used the scalloped border for the bottom part of the dress. The dress turned out better than I had envisioned.
