Chalkboard Photo Frame

Father's Day is almost here and this year I decided to have some pictures taken of my daughter as part of my husband's gift. I saw this wonderful picture from Sewing In No Mans Land and I decided to make my own chalkboard frame as a photo prop. I had all of the supplies on hand and it didn't take me very long to make it.

I used the cardboard that came with my 11 x 14 picture, I ordered it from Costco, as the chalkboard "picture". The first thing I did was to cover one side of the cardboard with primer spray paint. After that coat had dried I sprayed a couple of coats of chalkboard spray paint, per manufacturer's instructions, and waited 20 minutes for those to dry. Once it was dry my chalkboard picture was done. I used an 11 x 14 frame I already had to frame the picture. I love how the sign turned out and the pictures came out beautifully.
