60's Toddler Jumper

I have been on a vintage sewing kick lately and the latest item was a 60's jumper. It's from McCall's 8979, one of my mom's vintage patterns. She said she made this jumper for me when I was little so it was really cool that I got to make it for my daughter.

I also loved the cool bow dress but it's too hot to make a long sleeved dress right now. I just want to apologize for the bad pictures. I took these pictures on my iPhone since my camera wasn't charged.

It's such a simple pattern, it only took me a couple of hours to sew the whole thing. It has a simple pleated front and back. I finally learned how to use the buttonhole stitch on my machine properly, thanks Prudent Baby! The straps were a little long so I need to adjust the strap by an inch still.

The back is just as cute as the front.

I used some vintage fabric my mom had in her stash. I have no idea when she bought them but I loved the flower details and I thought the two shades of blue looked cute together.
