Cute As A Button Baby Shower

This weekend we threw a baby shower for my sister-in-law. She picked Cute As A Button for her theme and since the baby's gender is a surprise she picked teal, lime, purple, and aqua for the colors.

Since the colors were vibrant we decided to use white dishes to serve the food. We had tons of yummy finger foods like these meatballs in BBQ sauce.

For the drink station we had soda, water, and sweet tea. We decorated some mason jars with ribbon and buttons. I also made a button bunting to decorate my counter.

I made a garland from paper buttons that we had leftover from the invitations. We had vases, from the dollar store, as centerpieces. To spruce up the vases I just made a bow and glued on a button center.

I didn't have any pictures of the back food table, which is a shame because the silverware was wrapped in napkins and they were tied with paper strips with button centers.

Here is a close up of the mason jars, they were a big hit!

Since the baby shower was held on cinco de mayo we had a tres leches cake. I told the bakery to make the cake white and I added the fondant buttons at home matching the theme colors. It was a wonderful baby shower and everyone had a ton of fun!
