Homemade Blueberry Jam

I bought some blueberries from Sprouts and they turned out to be very ripe. My daughter doesn't like ripe blueberries, I learned this when she spit them all out and said no good, so I decided to make jam out of them.

Easy Blueberry Jam
1 6 oz package of blueberries
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar

1. Put all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan on medium heat and stir until all the sugar has dissolved. Continue on medium heat until boiling.

2. Lower to simmer. Simmer for 20 mins or until all of the berries have broken apart. Make sure to stir often and keep a close eye on it so it doesn't burn.

If your jam becomes to thick you can add more water to thin it out. If it's to thin add 2 tbsp cornstarch to thicken it but make sure you dissolve it in 1/4 cup of water first so there are no lumps.

  1. Wow. That is easy! Thanks for the recipe. I've got some blackberries that I can't wait to try this with.
