Fast & Easy Table Cloth

I am in the organizing mood this year and I have slowly been making progress in my bonus room aka my craft room. My cutting table has also been serving as my desk and storage area. Obviously this makes cutting anything very difficult because I have limited space on my big table.

I found my small plastic table that I bought at Costco and decided to make a table cover for it so I could use it as my new desk. Why did I have to make a cover for this table you ask?

Well because my daughter decided to use it as a coloring book, that's why. It's probably why I put it away in the first place. Such a good table ruined I thought but now it's brand new again. I found a scrap piece of fabric, a thicker canvas type of cotton, to use. I measured my table, I just put the fabric on the table, and marked where I needed to cut it. Once my fabric was cut to the right rectanglular size I used my serger to finish all the edges. If you don't have a serger you can use pinking shears or a zigzag stitch.

I added a lace trim to the bottom of the table cloth to give it a more feminine look. To add the trim, fold your finished edge up around 1/2 an inch. Pin the trim in place along the top of the finished edge. Sew in place using a 1/4 inch seam.

I love how quick this project was and how it instantly changed my table, for the better.
