Fabric Valentine's Day Card

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and I needed to get a card for my husband. Usually I buy him a card but this year I decided to make him one. Since I have a TON of fabric scraps overflowing in my craft room I decided to use them to make his card.

It didn't take me very long to make this card and I love the simplicity of it. I am thinking the lace might be a tad bit girly but hey I did use blue lace so that should make it work right?

To add the border cut four strips out of lace trim the same size as your square. Pin the trim and fabric right sides together and then sew along the border using a 1/4 in seam. If you don't have a sewing machine don't worry you can just tuck the edge under and glue the lace in place.

Once you have finished sewing the border turn your lace right side up. Iron your lace and square. I used the Simply Spray Stencil Spray to paint on the the heart in the middle of the square.

Once the heart dried I glued the fabric square to the front of some blue cardstock. I glued some white cardstock to the inside so I could write a sweet love note. My husband actually sneaked into my craft room while I was making his card so I had to come clean when he started asking me all these questions about it.
