A Pooh Skirt

I bought this Winnie the Pooh fabric for my daughter at the beginning of summer because she loves Pooh Bear. Well it's been sitting in my fabric bin ever since! My mom had some cute lace trim that I thought would match the fabric perfectly. Since I finally got enough courage to switch the thread on my new Serger, it was WAY easier than I thought, I decided to finally make her the skirt.

I made a simple a line skirt with an elastic waist. I added the blue lace trim on the bottom hem. It is so much easier using a serger to make clothes. I don't have to worry about the edges or the thread unraveling. Of course I made this skirt a little shorter than I would have liked, why do I think she is so short?, but besides that it came out perfect. I also made her doll a matching skirt but I haven't finished sewing it yet. Hopefully I will get the tutorial up soon.
