Halloween Decorating on a Budget

I went to the Dollar Store not to long ago looking for Halloween decorations. Apparently I got there WAY too late because it was slim pickings on the decorations. I was able to find one orange skeleton though so I brought it home with me. I don't have much of a budget this year for decorating so I searched the web for cheap DIY decorations.

I came across this super cute tutorial, Mickey Cutie Halloween Bats, and I thought they would match my hanging skeleton perfectly. I made eight bats. I ran out of black cardstock so I used orange instead. If you make them out of foam you won't have to add the pipe cleaner since the wings hang naturally. I used white sewing thread to hang them up and I used tape to add the thread to the bat and ceiling.

I really want to make this TinkerBell Ghost because I think my daughter would love it, ok I really love it too, but I haven't had time to get to it yet.

I also want to try making Mickey's Pumpkin Patch with my daughter this weekend because I think it would be a great toddler craft. I will make sure to take some pictures and let you know how it goes.
