I love eating oatmeal for breakfast but I am not a fan of the sugar filled store bought versions. Don't get me wrong I use to love them as a kid but now that I'm older I realize how bad they are for you and how simple it is to make a fresh batch. When I make this I usually don't measure anything out, I just add the ingredients to taste. It only takes me a couple of minutes to make in the morning and it tastes delicious.
Quick Cooking Oatmeal
Step1: Make 1 cup of oatmeal following manufacturer’s directions. I make my oatmeal using milk but you can use water if you prefer. To speed things up I also use my microwave.
Step 2: Add two dashes of cinnamon or 1/8 of a teaspoon if you like to measure.
Step 3: Peel your banana and using your hands squish it up and add it to your oatmeal. You can make the chunks as big or as small as you like.
Ste p 4: Add 1 teaspoon of honey and mix well. If you need to make it sweeter add more honey to taste.
