Banana Cupcakes with Honey Cinnamon Frosting

What do you do when you have ripe bananas that no one will eat? You make cupcakes! I searched the internet for a recipe and came across this gem at Martha Stewart. I modified the recipe slightly, mostly because I only had two bananas, and they came out perfect. I think if you use four bananas, like the recipe tells you, it might taste VERY strong. Mine just had a hint of banana. Another great thing about this recipe is that it only yields 12 cupcakes. I hate having lots of cupcakes around because I eat them all!

I don't like buttercream frosting so I was inspired to make my own honey cinnamon whipped cream frosting. It was delicious, my husband said it's the best cupcake he has ever had. I still have some improvements I want to make to the frosting recipe so I will post it when it is ready. Do you like my cupcake picture? I found this wonderful article at The Pioneer Woman that gives great tips on photographing food. I still have lots of improving to do but I think this picture came out great.
