Brown Sugar Cookies

During my recent trip to Bed, Bath & Beyond I came across a Brown Sugar Bear which keeps your brown sugar from hardening. It was a little pricey, $3.99, but I bought it anyway. Inside the packet came a recipe for Brown Sugar Cookies and I tried the recipe out last night. The cookies were delicious, a mix between butter and sugar cookies but without the super sugar sweetness.

Brown Sugar Cookies makes 4 dozen
1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt

1. Blend butter and sugar together well.
2. Beat in egg and vanilla.
3. Stir flour, soda and salt together and add. Mix well.
4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
5. Bake in 350 degrees over for 6 to 8 minutes.
