Tutorial: Bow Headband

Since I had a fabric scrap leftover from my first tutorial I decided I wanted to come up with a project I could use it in. After some thought I decided to make a bow headband because what girl doesn't like headbands? This is a great craft to do at a girl's birthday party and/or as a party favor.

You will need:
  1. A hot glue gun
  2. A 5x7 fabric scrap of your choice
  3. A headband
  4. Coordinating ribbon
  5. Scissors
  6. Sewing needle and thread

Step 1: Fold your fabric scrap in half with the wrong sides facing each other.

Step 2: Fold your fabric scrap like an accordion.

Step 3: Place a knot at the end of your thread and place your needle through the middle. Making sure the thread is pulled through tightly place your needle through the middle again in the opposite direction. Place a knot at the end of your thread and cut any left over thread. You should now have a nice bow.

Step 4: Decide where you would like your bow to sit on your headband. Place some hot glue in that spot on the inside of the headband and stick the end of your ribbon there.

Step 5: Place some hot glue on the corresponding outside of the headband and place your bow on top of it. Place some hot glue on the inside part of your headband, on top of the ribbon you placed in step 4, and wrap the ribbon around your bow and underneath your headband.

Step 6: Put your headband on and admire how great you look!
